Who we were..and who we are

Although genetics has many facts to show how we evolved from our ancestors and that we carry the genes passed on to us, it is interesting to see how we act like our ancestors in certain situations. This connection is more of the soul's. It is a pride to have the grandparents who were selfless and thought of their children's happiness. They were brave enough to fight for their children's better future. They came with nothing, made nothing for themselves, owned nothing and had nothing when they left. That's a life full of sacrifices. Their prayers protected their children from all the harms and their hard work supported them. They proved that money can't buy respect for a person nor the selfless act of unconditional love.

A person who earned people's heart and respect is never forgotten in their generation. However, earning respect is not as easy as getting likes. People always run behind their happiness mostly something temporarily then they get depressed until something else catches their eyes. This kind of search for temporary happiness has no end. But if you are selflessly doing what is right, you will have your satisfaction. This kind of deed makes you a superior human and righteous. In earlier generations, people selflessly sacrificed their happiness, their needs and their lives for their future generations. It is a pride that such great people sacrificed their lives for us and we should make our lives for the betterment of future generations.

God has shown us the depth of sacrifice and of the unconditional eternal selfless love so as our ancestors, may we learn also how to share love and happiness to future generations...
