Many of us wish at a time point in our life if we could go back to where we were, if we could be who we were in the past, if our situations were as before. Even if in the past our situation was not good at all, comparing to the present situation we might sometimes wish the less-horrible ways in the past. Unfortunately, in life we often tend to compare our situations with others, our current situation with the past and also dream if we would have made concious choices, then we would have got a better future for ourselves.
We never accept the things as it is currently, because there were better choices and that might not be the one we chose. In order to live a peaceful life, to be happy in life and not to hold any guilt - we must let go off the past and do not worry about the future. Only if these littles things were easy to human brains. Some people make themselves busy with good and productive tings to letgo of the past, some consciously break their thoughts whenever they get reminded of their horrible past. Its hard to let the past go when we are still blaming ourselves for allowing ourselves into that situation, also when we are currently facing big consequesnces of our past choices or when whe keep reminded about our mistakes in the past.
These situations usually creates mental inbalance to us. Our feelings, happiness, guilt, sadness, ange, anxiety all comes together and breaks us into pieces. In order to avoid this we must keep ourselves above all those feelings and also above whatever was in the past or whatever could come in the future. It is important that we make ourselves free of the toxic feelings which onlz brings harm to us alone. The ever-lasting resentment will not only destroy our present but will also create hurdles for our future plans. There are people who doesn't have deeper feelings who might know thez hurt someone, but thez would still think its alright to do so as far as their happiness is considered. Keeping resentment towards these people are the worst as they don't even remember your name. Thus focusing on you alone is good for your mental health at such times. People are could be mean, although it is not fair we need to learn accept that things are as it is. Do not hope people might change. We need to change our prespective and accept the situation. We coud only get to the future with living this situation through, just keep ourselves protected from our own thoughts, that is more important.
